A Passion for Creativity, Craftsmanship & Beautiful Jewelry
Hello, I’m Michele, the founder of Silver Sparrow. What began as a love for beadwork and creating beautiful jewelry has grown into a lifelong passion for discovering inspiring materials, designing distinctive pieces, and sharing that creativity with others.
Nearly two decades ago, I turned my passion for beadwork into my first retail bead store. That experience opened the door to a world of beautiful stones, unique components, skilled artisans, and endless creative possibilities. It also taught me that behind every beautiful piece is a story of craftsmanship, tradition, and thoughtful sourcing.
Today, Silver Sparrow is based in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado. We offer a thoughtfully curated collection of semi-precious stones, pearls, pendants, charms, chains, textiles, and handcrafted jewelry designed to inspire creativity.

As Silver Sparrow has grown, so has my passion for creating jewelry for other businesses. We proudly offer wholesale jewelry for boutiques, gift shops, galleries, and independent retailers looking for distinctive pieces their customers will love.
I understand that retail jewelry is about more than simply having beautiful products. It’s about finding pieces that feel special, offer value, and give customers something they are excited to take home. I enjoy selecting and designing collections with that in mind, helping other shops bring unique jewelry and creative products to their customers.

My passion for jewelry design naturally led me into the world of sourcing and supply chains. Over the years, I’ve developed relationships with manufacturers and craftspeople from around the world, learning from the unique techniques and traditions they bring to their work.
I believe quality begins long before a finished piece reaches your hands. That’s why I’m intentional about finding materials and jewelry that offer beauty, character, and value while building relationships with people who take pride in their craft.

Hi, I’m Elaine, and I am thrilled to be a part of The Silver Sparrow Team! My journey with beads and jewelry-making began in 1974 when I took a silversmithing class in college. After pursuing careers in the Air Force, healthcare, and special education, I returned to my passion for jewelry in 2005. I opened The Bead Corner in Monument, Colorado, a studio-based shop focused on helping others learn and create various types of jewelry. I sold the shop in 2014 and then worked as a designer for an online bead store.
In 2019, I teamed up with Michele to teach classes and contribute to her wonderful shop in Colorado Springs. Together, we started collaborating on Silver Sparrow Jewelry designs, and here we are!
The experience of working with Michele is incredibly exciting! We are eager to share our passion for the art of jewelry-making with each other and with all of you!
